Dr. Irina Borodina, Chief Scientific Officer & Co-Founder
Irina is the founder of BioPhero. She has extensive experience in the development of yeast-based fermentation platforms. She also heads a research group in metabolic engineering of yeast cell factories at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability. Irina holds a Ph.D. in biotechnology from the Technical University of Denmark.
Mr. Kristian Ebbensgaard, Chief Executive Officer
Kristian has extensive experience in business management and development of global biotechnology markets in several industries, including food, beverage alcohol as well as pulp and paper. He has lived and worked in Denmark, France, Switzerland and India. He holds an M.Sc. Econ. from the Copenhagen Business School.
Mr. Mikael Bechsgaard, Chief Financial & Marketing Officer
Mikael is combining his experience from IT start-up and management consultancy with 15 years of senior commercial positions in industrial biotech. He holds a M.Sc. Econ. from the Copenhagen Business School, an executive leadership education from INSEAD and part-time chemistry studies.
Dr. Jesper Dohrup, Chief Technology Officer
Jesper is an experienced commercial manager and industrial process engineer with extensive experience in industrial biomass processing and biorefineries from start-up to commercial take-off. He holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the Technical University of Denmark.
